Receive the delivery. Shopify gets the cost you paid.
Purchase orders, receiving, labels and stocktakes for Shopify POS shops. When a delivery arrives, freight is spread across the lines and each variant's cost per item becomes the weighted average of what you paid.

Freight lands on the units it paid for.
Change what arrived or what the freight cost, and watch cost per item move. This is the arithmetic the receive screen runs before anything is written to Shopify.
- Landed cost
- unit cost + the line's share of delivery costs
- Cost per item Shopify holds after the receipt
- (on hand × current cost + received × landed) ÷ new on hand
Damaged units carry no share and never reach stock. The rounding remainder goes to the last received line.

Stocky has shut down. Its purchase orders can come with you.
Drop in the CSV you downloaded for each purchase order, or a Stocky API export. You see every order, line and skipped row before anything is written.
- Received orders become history with their cost lines
- Open orders stay open, ready to receive
- Suppliers are matched by name, or created for you to finish
- Nothing is written to your Shopify inventory by an import
2 files · nothing written until you import
The order, the labels, the count and the reorder.
The order your supplier sees, and nothing more.
Build a purchase order from a supplier's products with their costs and pack sizes, then email it with a PDF. Replies go to your shop's address.
The PDF carries the lines, quantities, agreed unit cost, terms and your note. Sale prices and stock levels never leave the shop.
| Product | Qty | Unit | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tumbler · Clear, set of 4 | 12 | $9.50 | $114.00 |
| Carafe · Smoke, 1 L | 18 | $14.00 | $252.00 |
| Tealight holder · Clear | 12 | $20.50 | $246.00 |
A label for every unit that arrived.
Tick one box on the receive screen and the labels come out as a PDF sheet, 30 to a page, one per received unit. Damaged units get none. Cost is never printed.
Any printer that takes the sheet will do: it prints from your browser's print dialog.
Count one collection, not the whole shop.
Scope a count to a collection or a whole location. Scan or type as you go and see the variance at cost before you apply it.
Only what you counted is written. Items you didn't reach stay as they are, unless you choose to set them to zero.
| Product | Expected | Counted | Variance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stoneware mug · Moss | 55 | 55 | 0 |
| Stoneware mug · Oat | 39 | 38 | −1 |
| Serving bowl · Speckled | 22 | 19 | −3 |
| Bud vase · Slate | 48 | 50 | +2 |
Reorder from the numbers you set.
Set a minimum and a maximum per variant and location. Anything below its minimum is grouped by supplier, with the quantity that fills it back to the maximum, rounded up to the pack size.
One click drafts one purchase order per supplier. Units already on an open order count as on hand, so nothing is ordered twice.
| Product | On hand | Min | Max | Order |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Frozen curry 4-pack | 81 | 100 | 150 | 69 |
Two numbers, and only when you say so.
Shelfward reads your products, inventory and locations. It never touches orders, customers or prices.
- On handWhen you receive a delivery or apply a count, with the reason and the order or count as the reference.
- Cost per itemAfter each receipt, as the weighted average of what was on the shelf and what arrived.
- Applied onceEvery write carries its own key, so saving twice or retrying after an error never adds stock twice.
- Costs stay with youStaff without Shopify's View product costs permission can still receive and count. They see no costs.
Two plans. The difference is counting.
Billed on your Shopify bill. Each plan starts with a 14-day free trial on Shopify's plan page.
For one shop with one location.
- Suppliers and purchase orders with email and PDF
- Receiving with delivery costs and cost per item
- Labels from the receiving screen
- Reorder drafts from min/max
- One location
For shops that count, or run more than one location.
- Everything in Core
- Scoped stocktakes with variance at cost
- Every location
- Cost history export
Change or cancel on Shopify's plan page. A cancelled subscription runs to the end of its billing period, and Shopify's page shows the date.
Does Shelfward change my prices or my orders?
No. It writes on hand when you receive or apply a count, and cost per item after each receipt. It has no access to orders or customers.
What happens to my Stocky purchase orders?
Import the CSV you downloaded for each purchase order, or a Stocky API export. Received orders come in as history with their cost lines, open orders stay open, and suppliers are matched by name. You see a preview before anything is written.
What if I save a delivery twice?
Nothing changes the second time. Each receipt carries one key, so Shopify applies it once, even after a retry.
Can my staff receive without seeing costs?
Yes. Staff without Shopify's View product costs permission can receive and count; unit costs, landed costs and totals are hidden from them. Cost per item is still written.
Which printers work for labels?
Labels are a PDF sheet, 30 to a page, printed from your browser's print dialog on Letter or A4 label sheets.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
It is deleted about four days after you uninstall, after Shopify's deletion request. Reinstall before then and your records are still there. Quantities and costs already written to Shopify stay in Shopify.
